Day 365 of the my Project 365. Surely this is the last day of the project? Or is it? Project 365 runs for a year, which traditionally starts on 1st January to end on the 31st of December, as the 365th day. However, this year is a leap year. There are 366 days in a year. So I think we will have 365 days of photos and a BONUS day tomorrow! Yay! I didn’t expect to be this psyched on […]
This photo was taken in the long tunnel towards the parking lot at Domain. We were all standing on a long express walk way there after a long day of retail therapy. Two more fun days ahead to end the year 2012. Bring it on!
Summer holiday is officially started. Today was Mr 8’s last day of school. Also, it was his last day in this school. He is going to a new school starting next year. So yeah, it was kind of big deal. The school had this farewell ‘bang’ at the end of the day to say goodbye to all the Year 6 graduates and those others who will not come back next year. A lot of chanting, screaming, banging and clapping. […]
My little elf was very helpful and looking very happy in our last day of baking. I love baking, so these pre-Christmas baking days are one of my favourite days in the year. The house smells wonderful with the smell of cookies baking in the oven, and I truly enjoyed listening to the non-stop chatters of my little girl, who broke into Christmas songs every now and then while she dusted the cookies with sugar. My mom did a lot […]
The Mulley Street Yarn-a-thon was today. I’ve written about this event in a post back in August, at the beginning of it. Some of people from the local community, the students of schools involved in the project, even the ACT Chief Minister were there. The gathering was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the big and horrible bush fire of 2003 in Canberra. The trees and the close surrounding area were, as promised and intended, ‘bombed’with yarns. It’s quite an […]

It may be late, but it’s still 12/12/12 now. It won’t be soon so I’d better write this post super quick. No doomsday insight, instead I was out celebrating the end of year 2012 with some great friends before we go our separate merry ways for the holidays.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… The Christmas tree decoration was today. Elf 01 and elf 02 were working together to help me decorate. Lovely little elves they are, working so well together. I could just watch them for hours…
Nikon D90 | AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G | ISO800 | f/1.8 | 1/100 | This is the scene at the end of Ms 4’s playdate today. Indeed it was a super fun one, as it is always the case when G and A came to play. I love how they were just goofing around on top of each other on a beanie bag. Big grins, happy faces, and one totally flattened beanie bag 🙂
Nikon D90 | AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED | ISO640 | f/7.1 | 1/30 | Run baby run. When dinner time came and I still did not have any photo for today’s post, I knew it was time to go to the oval and let the kids run free. We missed the perfect golden hour light because it took forever for this family to get ready, so I focused more on the kids’ action while we were at the […]
Nikon D90 | AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G | ISO500 | f/2 | 1/50 | There is going to be two kindergarten classes next year. Today at orientation, the kindergarten students were divided in Cat in Hat and Hungry Caterpillar groups, where they met their future teachers and classmates . Guess which group does Ms 4 belong to.
