Day 205 #Project365

July 23, 2012 by [ayu]

In a windless morning like today the lake was really like a giant mirror. It reflected everything in front of it (or was it on top?) in perfect symmetry. I love water reflection image (maybe) largely because I love symmetrical things. My eyes were drawn to everything symmetrical around the lake today and boy, they were everywhere. Here are the two of many images I captured this glorious morning.

Day 204 #Project365

July 22, 2012 by [ayu]

A wonderful fun we had at Lanyon Homestead today. Taken a lot of photos I have indeed. I will not bore you with more words, here are some of the photos I enjoyed taking today. The Drawing Room (The photo has been taken before we were told no photography allowed inside the homestead. Oops!) A very tiny girl? Or very tall trees? Couldn’t say no a beautiful bald tree, could I? Even the spiders made a very impressive web there. […]

Day 199 #Project365

July 17, 2012 by [ayu]

It’s a wall of branches separating the bright and the dark side. All the front side of the tree was touched by the setting sun, getting all the warmth, while it’s completely black on the other side. Light and shadows outlined the shape of the tree really well. This light showcased how spectacular my lilac tree rocking the winter look. I love it.

Day 195 #Project365

July 13, 2012 by [ayu]

It’s a good halfway through winter now and I haven’t taken any tree pictures for quite some time. Not sure how did that happen, but I sure missed it. These leafless branches creating a beautiful intricate lace before the bright blue sky was my eyecandy for the day.

Day 143 #Project365

May 22, 2012 by [ayu]

Winter is just around the corner. A lot more trees without leaves started to dominate the scenery now. The trees that still have some leaves started to lose their top foliage covering the ground beneath with blankets of autumn coloured dried leaves. Soon they too will be left bare. I was (more) grateful (than usual) for my iPhone today. There I was feeling quite smug about my ‘time management’ that I could stop by Black Mountain Peninsula for a quick photo walk […]

Day 140 #Project365

May 19, 2012 by [ayu]

The Canberra International Music Festival brought us to Kingston Foreshore today. It was a nice community event; great music, nice kiosks, lovely mulled wine and great companies. I was wearing my loyal converse with thin socks that gave me no warmth whatsoever. So once I could no longer feel my toes I decided it was time to head home. We passed these baldies on our way back to the car park. I could never resist bald trees, so I managed […]

Day 46 #Project

February 15, 2012 by [ayu]

I just realized that I did not post many tree photos in this blog. I found that curious, because I love love love taking pictures of trees. I know I have a lot of trees in instagram, but not here apparently. Curious… Bald trees are my favorite. There’s something special about leave-less trees I found, though trees that started to change colors are also very appealing. This one tree stood out among the rest because it’s the only one that […]

From Camping

January 1, 2012 by [ayu]

Last minute decision + luck = Camping in Tumbaramba, NSW right after Christmas. The camping area was located around mount Kosciuszko, where it’s usually covered in snow during winter, in summer however it looks totally different and beautiful.

Back to Misty Lake

August 1, 2011 by [ayu]

After a month of craziness, I was back on the lake ready for my morning run around the lake with Bruno, my dog. The mist was extremely thick, the temperature only reached 1 degree when we got there. The view was amazing. And spooky a bit. I was distracted by all the silhouette of trees, the whiteness of the mist, and reflection on the water, but yes, I did manage a 5K+ of running. The sun finally came out […]

After the Rain

August 19, 2010 by [ayu]

This is the beginning. I’ve always love leave less trees, because each one of them looks unique and beautiful.
