Day 215 #Project365

August 2, 2012 by [ayu]

When my kids were still tiny babies, I learned soon enough the difference in their cries. Thought it was a myth at first, but I turned a believer once I could actually tell the hungry cry from a sleepy one, or the -I’m-sick- cry from simple boredom cry. Now that they are bigger, they cry less, but cry nonetheless especially when emotions or pain gets too overwhelming. Mere words just won’t do. There was a sad moment today for Ms […]

Day 211 #Project365

July 29, 2012 by [ayu]

It seemed only yesterday that it was little pink tricycle standing next to the blue bicycle. I’m sure before long it will be two same size bicycles standing side by side. I like to notice these things, be surprised by them as they remind me how quick my kiddies grow and remind me how I should make time to enjoy them like this. They are not going to stay small forever…oh, and thank God for that too 😉

Day 135 #Project365

May 14, 2012 by [ayu]

This leaf was one of my daughter’s ‘treasures’ for the day. Oh, who am I kidding? My kids are big hoarders and Ms 4 is no exception. They picks up stuff, usually peculiar stuff nobody wants or needs, like rocks (pebbles and all its variants), branches (short and long), paper, wraps (lolly wraps included) and the list goes on. I was just lucky to see the leaf sitting on the chair before she had the time to stash it away […]

Day 127 #Project365

May 6, 2012 by [ayu]

A little observation in my 4 y.o daughter’s behaviour during her shoe shopping session this afternoon: she knew what she wanted but she would try about a dozen others and get totally side-tracked practicality and comfort were not the top of the list (at the heat of the argument she actually held a pair of toddler sized shoes in her hands and insisted they would fit) given two choices she would prefer to take the two pairs instead of choosing […]

Day 124 #Project365

May 3, 2012 by [ayu]

Here is Mr 8 doing his homework. Just so you know, what was portrayed here is the total opposite of what actually happened during homework time. I spared you the ugly for some other time. I wish he channeled his energy in doing his work than just complaining about it. Every. Single. Time. But hey, what’s the fun in that? I swear I’ve got 4 new grey hair a week from our homework sessions.

Day 107 #Project365

April 16, 2012 by [ayu]

I don’t get my kids’ excitement over playgrounds.I understand that playing at the playground is mighty fun and all, and I love to see them active in the playground (all that jumping, swinging, climbing, spinning etc) but really, aren’t they like waterfalls? You see one you’ve seen them all? I don’t have any childhood memories of being super excited about a playground. Not in my home town (maybe back in the day it was non existent), nor when we went […]

Day 80 #Project365

March 20, 2012 by [ayu]

I was happy to inform that no bribing was conducted in taking this photo. I just had her ‘confined’ in her bath tub filled with bubbles, that way she couldn’t go anywhere. Trying to get her to sit still was proven challenging I gave up on asking her to look at me. Ever since I had my kids I started to like taking really close up shots on them. Not always of their faces. Sometimes their chubby little fingers, or […]

“Mama, do I know more things now?” That’s my daughter who just turned 4 asking when we were at the dinner table. I didn’t get what she meant at first. In a split second I put pieces together then I totally understood what she meant. She’s been very excited about turning 4. Well, I guess it’s normal. You hardly remember anything when you were three, right. Almost everyday in the past month she asked me ‘am I four yet?’, which […]
