Nikon D90 | AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G | ISO800 | f/1.8 | 1/125 His was the last birthday in the year for our family to celebrate. The rest of us celebrate early in the year, 2-4 weeks from each other. This date is special, because usually we wait for this day to pass before starting our Christmas decorations, despite the constant nagging from the kids. Now, all systems go. Christmas gear in full throttle will start tomorrow. Happy birthday, D! Don’t finish […]
It had been a good and lazy Saturday. A bit too lazy perhaps I forgot to post anything by midnight. I was out and I left my iPhone at home as well, to make the matter worst, that posting anything was impossible until I got home just a moment ago. I don’t think drinking and blogging is a good idea, so I’d better just leave you with this shot from tonight.
Nikon D90 | AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED | ISO160 | f/5.6 | 1/250 | This was a scene from our ladies’ morning tea this morning to celebrate our dear friend’s 40th birthday. Happy birthday, Ik!
It felt that I took this photo a week ago and not just this morning. A million things happened between this morning and now (evening now my time). We threw our newly turned 4 daughter her first ‘real’ birthday party. Her first one that she would probably remember because we invited more of her friends instead of ours. Looking at this photo really took me back to the kind of peace I felt this morning during my morning run. Remembering […]
“Mama, do I know more things now?” That’s my daughter who just turned 4 asking when we were at the dinner table. I didn’t get what she meant at first. In a split second I put pieces together then I totally understood what she meant. She’s been very excited about turning 4. Well, I guess it’s normal. You hardly remember anything when you were three, right. Almost everyday in the past month she asked me ‘am I four yet?’, which […]
It’s a little girl’s world. All pink and bubbly, bees and butterflies, princess and castles, make-believe and dress ups. It is all oh so sweet. Tooth-achingly sweet. In every party or a play date, little girls always pick a corner, take a friend or two, and play make-believe. There is always a story. There is always a plot. But they all get it. It’s like they have their own codes. Everybody knows what her role is, knows what to say, […]
My boy turned 8 today. We’ve been running around Sydney today as a way to celebrate it. That was the deal anyway for this year, no birthday party and something different. (I need about three years to recover from last year’s birthday cake). Harry Potter exhibition came and gone (he left with an Elder wand), a gigantic Lego Millennium Falcon already received and built, and still Lego exhibition to check out tomorrow. A lucky duck is what he is. And […]
This feels more like a ‘follow-up’ from the last post about panning, even though honest to God I wasn’t planning on it (still remember being dizzy following the swing movement). The opportunity just landed on my lap last Sunday morning. Mr 7 was invited to a birthday party at an indoor GoKart place, I thought, well, I just brought my camera and see what happens. I think it ‘sort of’ worked. Though I probably could be happier if the object looked a […]
