Portrait Project – 41/52

October 17, 2014 by [ayu]

Portraits of family in the ‘wild’. This was our first camping since last summer (January 2014), so it’s been awhile; and it seemed that everyone was missing it. The time spent outdoor was enjoyed to the max. Dog especially loved to bask in the morning light.

One Night at the Kangaroo Valley

February 24, 2013 by [ayu]

As it happens, summer is (officially) nearly over here in Australia. The new routines have started to kick in, daily  activities soon became a blur, and before long our summer fun will turn into distant memory. We have had a great summer holiday. Despite the extreme weather (extreme heat, extreme cold, heavy rain, and more) we really enjoyed this summer, maybe the fact that the two summers past have been a real fluke (constant rain and cold weather) made us […]

Day 303 #Project365

October 29, 2012 by [ayu]

I did not take any photo today as I was busy recovering from our ‘action-packed’ weekend. I did take heaps of photos then, so for today’s post I will share some of them, taken from several activities we did over the weekend. Nikon D90 | AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED | ISO400 | f/7.1 | 1/640 | School Spring Fair. The Animal Paddock was always the highlight at the fair, and this year was no exception. Who could resist […]

Day 302 #Project365

October 28, 2012 by [ayu]

This is the scene at Wee Jasper this fine Sunday morning. This has been a super duper packed and fun weekend, so I had no energy left to write anything more here, nor do anything at all anywhere. Be back tomorrow with some renewed energy.

playing with fire

February 23, 2012 by [ayu]

Sitting by the fire and just watching the log burns was one of the highlight if not THE only highlight of camping at night time. Sitting with camera in my hand, staring at the fire got a bit more interesting. Rarely have we had a chance to seee open fire like this in the city, so I was really interested to learn how to take photos of fire. These two images were taken on a different day, and using a […]

Camping Snaps

January 1, 2012 by [ayu]

Last minute decision + luck = Camping in Tumbaramba, NSW right after Christmas. The camping area was located around mount Kosciuszko, where it’s usually covered in snow during winter, in summer however it looks totally different and beautiful.
