Day 332 #Project365

November 27, 2012 by [ayu]

Nikon D90 | AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G | ISO400 | f/2.2 | 1/100 | Showers and thunderstorms are what in store for us today at the Nation’s Capital. My strawberry patch and the rest of my green family in the garden are so enjoying this lengthy wet treatment.

Day 312 #Project365

November 7, 2012 by [ayu]

It’s been raining and wet the whole day. Apparently it’s the perfect day for this slimy lot to come out and play. Yuck.

Day 280 #Project365

October 6, 2012 by [ayu]

Today was a very wet Saturday in Canberra. The rain started from early morning all through the day and I suspected a soft drizzle even now as I was writing this post after the kids have gone to bed. Droplets were everywhere. The greens were greener. Most colours saved white have gone darker. Richer. All the plants got drenched. Some droplets on the leaves looked like sparkling gems, very pretty. These images were my capture of the wet world around […]

Day 154 #Project365

June 2, 2012 by [ayu]

What a drab day. Wet and cold. It’s the second day of winter in Canberra. As I waited for the light to go green, I longed for a warm and dry home where my blanket and books await, for multiple mugs of hot tea and some honey to ease my tickling throat, and for a chance to catch up on my sleep after a long week. There is a lot for one person to dream while waiting for the red […]

Day 108 #Project365

April 17, 2012 by [ayu]

It’s been raining the whole day. We stayed in all morning, that’s when Ms 4 started playing with her new baby, Mika. This newly “adopted” baby is orient looking (the caucasian and black babies are also available at Ikea stores nationwide, in case anyone’s interested), and it can pass on as a baby boy or baby girl. I think they have a set of boys clothes at the shop, but Ms 4 picked the girls set, so a girl baby […]

Day 76 #Project365

March 16, 2012 by [ayu]

It was a bit disheartening today when it started to rain late afternoon, especially because I had zero shot taken for the day. Even worse was the fact that I had zero idea for today’s post. All I knew was that I had to shoot quickly before the day got even darker. So when there was a slight pause in with the rain I took a walk around my wet backyard to find something interesting. First the pink roses caught […]

Day 63 #Project365

March 3, 2012 by [ayu]

Still raining. Still wet. What a woman to do but hitting the mall and do a bit of window shopping. The mall was noisy as always, even more maybe because more people choosing to be here than staying at home. This shop I went to was a lovely shop. It’s a furniture/home decor shop. I love this type of shops, they always succeed in making me a tiny bit happier. All the lovely tables and chairs, and things (almost always) […]

Day 62 #Project365

March 2, 2012 by [ayu]

I know I said that I am still in the hunt for the wettest look in photo this week. The truth is I was so over this endless rain. I was over having wet hair, feet, hands jeans..all of it! I’m sure a lot of people felt the same way, especially those who live in flooded area and had to evacuate for their safety. We only had a little rain today, which was good, but it will be different tomorrow. […]

Day 61 #Project365

March 1, 2012 by [ayu]

The hunt for the wettest looking photo continues. I think I started to get close to the look I want. The rain today was hard. Some walk path around the school already became a small flowing creek some even 5 centimeters high. My old trusty boots were summoned out to come and play and to help me keep my feet dry. Let’s hope that we don’t have to wake up their knee high friends from their long slumber in the […]

Day 60 #Project365

February 29, 2012 by [ayu]

So it’s been raining since last Sunday and is going to stay raining until Sunday. It is hard to find a subject in this type of weather. It’s dark, not to mention wet outside, I really felt the limitation of the indoor. Trying to brave it out and capture this wetness I went outside. The street was totally empty with people inside having dinner at the time. So I stood in the middle of the street trying to capture the […]

Day 58 #Project365

February 27, 2012 by [ayu]

It’s two more days before summer is officially over. I say, let’s kill it already. Summer has been having a bit of a problem performing, really. Yes we had a couple of days of brilliance, but the rest was a total disappointment. We even had a maximum temperature of 6 degrees I recalled. Let’s just all get over it and give a warm welcome to autumn. It’s been wet the whole day, I think autumn has arrived!

Day 20 #Project365

January 20, 2012 by [ayu]

Just a quick shot of the heavy rain from my deck for today’s post. I was caught in it on my way back with three kids (two are mine) from the local shop earlier tonight. Lesson learnt: it’s impossible for one to walk faster when one was caught in the rain with 3 kids, and armed with only two umbrellas (one kid was wearing a rain jacket), when each kid was holding an ice cream in one hand.
