Day 338 #Project365

December 3, 2012 by [ayu]

This morning was pleasant. Weather wise. It’s not too warm and there was plenty of cool air from the wind. A perfect running day. I remember at the beginning of this project I took a lot of photos with my iPhone during my morning/afternoon run. I’d stop and snapped, and continued on running. I didn’t do that a lot these days as I used mostly my DSLR for my posts. Today I decided to do it again; to take photos […]

Day 253 #Project365

September 9, 2012 by [ayu]

Today the whole family went out to support D who participated in 10K  2012 Canberra Times Fun Run. It was such a great day for it too, 5000 runners showed up for the event. There was minimise energy spent when you were just ‘supporting’. While my significant other was huffing and puffing through streets of Canberra, me and the kids were just hanging out and waiting close to the finish line to see him when he passed it. Waiting was not […]

Day 203 #Project365

July 21, 2012 by [ayu]

I surprised myself today. It turned out that I was not as lazy as I thought I was. Proof in point: I ran today. I woke up nearly noon, and decided to do nothing but reading, or just pottering around the house. Hubby on the other hand already out in the yard as soon as he saw how gorgeous the day was. Happy as a busy bee working around the house he’s always been, especially in good weather day like […]

Day 142 #Project 365

May 21, 2012 by [ayu]

After what felt like a century of waiting to get well, I finally felt fit enough to go running this morning. It was cloudy, and pretty chilly, but I knew it was nothing compared to the colder mornings to come. It felt good to be able to go outside and run again. I was huffing and puffing at the beginning, but soon my body learnt the pace and things became easier again. I actually like running in the colder months […]

Day 55 #Project365

February 24, 2012 by [ayu]

This morning I decided to run a bit further than I usually do. Not much longer, just a kilo and a half more than my normal 5K mark around the lake. I took an additional loop (around the Aspen Island) just so I can have a distance without going too far away from my usual running route. And also, I ran counter clockwise around the lake today. I wonder whether people running around the lake like me run the same […]

It felt that I took this photo a week ago and not just this morning. A million things happened between this morning and now (evening now my time). We threw our newly turned 4 daughter her first ‘real’ birthday party. Her first one that she would probably remember because we invited more of her friends instead of ours. Looking at this photo really took me back to the kind of peace I felt this morning during my morning run. Remembering […]

This is the view that I’ve been missing. Last year I came to the lake at least twice a week to run. It’s my place if I want to run 5K or 10K. Less than 5 or in between 5 to 10km I run around my neighborhood. One round around the lake is roughly 5 kilometer, that’s the one of the reasons I do it like this. I haven’t been going the past months due to the school holiday, it […]

Black Swans

June 23, 2011 by [ayu]

This photo was taken weeks ago during one of my weekly runs around the lake Burley-Griffin. Having been ‘house arrest’ for the past days tending to a sick Mr7, I really miss my run. And the lake. And the swans. Oh well, you get the idea…
