That special skill to keep my subject of photography ‘engaged’ for the shoot was in serious doubt today. For one the subject was clearly not very enthusiastic. He’s on the floor minding his own business. Then I sat close to him to give him some love and caress him. Rubbing him here, scratching his neck there, the way he likes it…Then he pinned my leg down to hold me close and continue with what I was doing. That’s how we roll in this house. Hairy love fest, 24/7.

I think simplicity worked best in a shot like this. There’s nothing too special about blue jeans, but when I made it the center of the shot we can see the detail of the fabric much better.
